“The six suspects were arraigned on Thursday, June 24, 2021, on 18- count charges bordering on conspiracy and money laundering contrary to Section 18(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011, as amended.
“Having set up this illegal Elder’s Council, they have been receiving monies meant for the house and squandering same. There are cases ongoing with evidence by the Police at Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB), Abuja bothering on these illicit transactions. We are pursuing all matters diligently to ensure these abnormalities are upturned.”
